Campus Resources in Times of Crisis

Campus Resources in Times of Crisis

These are challenging and stressful days for many members of our community. This page is designed to encompass the different services and policies that may be relevant during this period. To all the students, faculty, and staff who are struggling, we are committed to doing everything possible to support you and preserving campus as a safe and welcoming place.

As President Minouche Shafik said in a University-wide letter on October 18, 2023, “Our day-to-day duty of care for the security and well-being of our students, faculty, and staff is paramount …. Let me reassure you that the University will take all available steps to help you.”

Campus-wide Resources

There are a variety of resources across Columbia's campuses that can be helpful in navigating these challenging times.

Public Safety Resources

Columbia’s Public Safety team is available at any time of day, every day. We have increased the presence of public safety officers across all of our campuses.

University Policies and Resources

Columbia is committed to providing a learning, living, and working environment free from unlawful discrimination and harassment and to fostering a nurturing and vibrant community founded on the fundamental dignity and worth of all of its members. A set of policies and resources support that commitment.
